Chipotle Mexican Grill surpassed Wall Street estimates for quarterly sales and profit on Wednesday as demand for its rice bowls and burritos held up even as prices increased.

Shares of the company pared early in overnight trading gains but were still 3.9% higher after executives said Chipotle expects margins to be under pressure for the next couple of quarters.

ServiceNow raised its full-year subscription revenue forecast on Wednesday as its enterprise customers adopt artificial intelligence-enabled cloud-based software.

Viking Therapeutics shares soared more than 21% in overnight trading after the drug developer revealed that it will advance its experimental obesity treatment, VK2735, to a phase 3 trial. The news, which was disclosed in its second-quarter earnings release, followed discussions with the Food and Drug Administration. An oral version of this drug will begin phase 2 trials in the fourth quarter, the company said.

Edwards Lifesciences fell 18.6% in overnight trading after it reported revenue for the second quarter that was below consensus estimates. It also issued lackluster guidance.
